Volunteers and Committees

Orientation and training will be provided as needed. Volunteers are expected to follow all district and school guidelines and policies, including confidentiality.

Committees

8th Grade Activities

Assist in planning & organizing activities, donating/purchasing items needed, set-up/clean-up of activity and help out during the activity. Activities: 8th Grade Dance, Ice Cream Social,​ 8th Grade Breakfast and Six Flags Trip.

Back to School/End of School Breakfast

Provide food, help serve or send a donation for the teacher breakfasts at the beginning and end of the school year. Coordinate volunteers using Volunteer Spot. Day(s): August/May

Braggin' Rights Tournament

Assist in planning and publicizing the event by coordinating volunteers, planning refreshments, setting up and cleaning up event. Day(s): January

Concessions

Volunteers needed to help organize and sell concessions during events throughout the year. Day(s): Volleyball Tournament, Trivia Night, Braggin' Rights Volleyball Tournament

Conference Dinners/Hospitality

Provide food, help serve or send a donation for the teacher dinner during conferences. Freshen up staff lounge and production room a few times a year.​Day(s): Fall and Spring Conference

Help photographers collect money for students who have their picture taken. Dates: Fall and Spring

Spirit Wear

Assist in creating, processing and distributing spirit wear orders throughout the year.

Staff Appreciation

Help plan and recognize Selvidge staff members throughout the year.

Trivia Night

Assist in planning and publicizing the event by coordinating volunteers, obtaining door prizes, soliciting auction items, planning refreshments, setting up and cleaning up after the event.​
